Indian Summer Eskimo Kisses

The picture below takes me back about a year and 4 months ago to the hot Oklahoma summer time. We would just run around in the yard with the kids in front of our old run down farm house that was plopped right smack dab in the middle of 40 acres of pure Oklahoma soil.

Moments

Chasing the dogs, throwing balls and one of my babies crying when they got too wound up running down the hill in the yard.

Wanting mommy because she is the ONLY person in the world who can make the pain that doesn't hurt go away.

Kissing my wife and taking in the moment down to the blades of grass in our weed infested yard so I can cherish that moment for the rest of my life.

These memories are burned in harder than any memories from my own childhood. It is hard to quantify how much I love my wife and kids, but one glance at this picture and somehow the inclination to put rationale behind love seems so absurd.
